Phil Calhoun brings decades of experience in health insurance, business development, and agency growth. After earning his MBA and serving in health care and mergers-and-acquisitions leadership roles, he joined Downey Hospital in 1989 as Director of Marketing and helped launch Golden Outlook, a private-label Medicare HMO. 

Phil helped establish WMC Insurance Services in 1993 and acquired the agency in 1997. Through strategic acquisitions, broker recruitment, and Medicare market expansion, he built a retail agency and Field Marketing Organization that generated more than $2.5 million in revenue. He later transitioned the retail business to Integrity Advisors. 

Today, Phil leads Commission Solutions and Integrity Advisors, helping health brokers protect commissions, plan successful exits, and connect with qualified buyers or successors. He is the author of “The Health Broker’s Guide to Protecting, Growing and Selling Commissions” and has completed seven acquisitions and established 10 active commission-protection agreements totaling more than $2 million annually. Phil also directs Project LIFE, a nonprofit that connects young adults with older adults through visits and shared life stories.
